Curriculum Vitae

Alessandra Mazzini is currently Assistant Professor (RtdB) in History of pedagogy and Children’s literature at the Department of Human and Social Sciences of the University of Bergamo.In February 2023, she achieved the habilitation as Associate Professor by the National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes (ANVUR), Italy. She conducts research in the field of educational history studies and in particular in the field of the history and the epistemology of children’s and YA literature. She is a member of the research group in Children’s Literature of the Italian Society of Pedagogy (SIPED), of CIRSE (Italian Centre for Historical-Educational Research) and of the scientific and organisational committee of the international research group Network of Philosophy of Education in Praxis. She is the Coordinator of the editorial board of the scientific journals Nuova Secondaria and Nuova Secondaria Ricerca and of the Scientific Council of the book series LLIA – Letture e Letteratura per l’infanzia e la giovinezza (Marcianum Press). He is a member of the Scientific Council of the scientific journals CQIIA-magazine, Nuova Professionalità and of the Editorial Board of the scientific journal Pagine Giovani. In 2023 she received the SIPED prize for the volume Da un lavoro al proprio lavoro. Una teoria dell’educazione e formazione nella letteratura per l’infanzia e l’adolescenza. (From a work to one’s work. A theory of education in children’s and YA literature). In 2019, she was a visiting fellow at the Université de Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis.
