Emeritus professor at the University Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis, specializing its research in the field of lifelong learning. Ph.D in educational sciences and philosophy, originally taught in the area of teacher training and later at the University of Nantes. Researcher at the Laboratory of Studies and Research in Contemporary Logic of Education (Laboratoire d’études et de recherches sur les Logiques Contemporaines de la Philosophie / Paris 8); the Laboratoire Experice (Paris 8-Paris 13) & associated to the Laboratory of Research on Practical Philosophy (L.R.P.Ph./Univ/ty of the Aegean). Research areas: Philosophy of Education, Morals of Education, History of pedagogical ideas, Political Philosophy of emancipation. Member of scientific board of Télémaque and enser l’éducation. He has inaugurated the field of professional ethics for educators held as moral construction of the self («L’éthique professionnelle des enseignants enjeux, structures et methods» (dir.), Paris: L’Harmattan, 2012). His works and researches are interested in the paradigm of a metamorphic education as an antidote to the metaphysical perspectives of the educational conversion.
