Curriculum Vitae

Monika Rosińska holds a PhD in social sciences and works at the School of Form (Faculty of Design) at SWPS University. She focuses her scientific and research interests on contemporary design practices. She is the author of several books, including “Utopias of Design: Between Affirmation and Critique of Modernity”(2020) and “Rethinking Usage: Designers, Objects, Social Life”(2010).

Additionally, she is a co-editor of “Zoepolis: Building Human Non-Human Community” (2020) and “Collaboratorium: Change and Collaboration” (2011), as well as numerous scientific and popular articles on design. She also collaborates as a co-curator of design exhibitions.

Jolanta Starzak – architect and urban planner (member of the Regional Chamber of Architects in Poland and the Chamber of Architects in the Netherlands), co-founder of Atelier Starzak Strebicki architectural studio, lecturer, and coordinator of the Department of Design – School of Form at the Faculty of Design at SWPS University in Warsaw.
After completing her studies and working for architectural offices in the Netherlands, Jolanta Starzak together with Dawid Strębicki founded architectural studio Atelier Starzak Strebicki, which works on architectural, urban and research projects in Belgium, Germany, and Poland. Atelier Starzak Strebicki is fascinated by the diverse scale of design activities. In particular public buildings such as schools and kindergartens, public spaces up to the scale of urban plans, master plans and urban strategies. Intriguing, especially as a research tool is as well temporary architecture and experiments in urban fabric. Studio Atelier Starzak Strebicki also took part in 15th International Architecture Biennale in Venice, where one of their projects was presented as a part of the Belgian pavilion.
