you cannot reach the final end through improvisation. In that way you abandon also the

culture of improvisation. But what is dangerous, when we abandon the culture of
improvisation, is that we abandon the way to understand the human development and also
we miss an important chance of evolution. All evolution is improvisational. So we miss this

part of evolution and we are attracted by a specific part of evolution confounding the part

with the whole. Evolution is the whole; a part is adaptation and selection. It's just a part of
evolution. The most important part is not adaptation. It’s not based on selection. It is made

of ex-aptation not of adaptation and all the ex-aptation part is not just the answer to a
need, an answer to a request from the environment, is an exploration, is a free exploration,

something that is not needed… you don't sing because it's needed for evolution. See also
the dance in the human culture. But you cannot understand evolution of human being

without singing and dancing. So if we hope that our education is not just to adapt behavior,
for being more adapted to society, we must also see the dangerous concept of flexibility,

a really dangerous concept … because we study with urban dancers and actors not just
with musicians and we interview a lot of musiciasn but also a lot of dancers and actors

during our research in order to create a common profile of the improviser … we have an
interesting suggestion from the language, the study of jazz, but there's a lot of other work

and human experience in which improvisation is the core.. see also for instance the chef, is
an improviser. But is not a contradiction when he wrote a book of recipes…

...The instructions of how to ...

Yes, yes. All good chefs write this kind of book, but you know that is not enough in order
to be the chef. But it's not a contradiction. It’s a book of instruction, but you know that

instruction is not enough in order to be a good chef. Is the same for education, you have
to know something about the kind of food, about the development and about psychology

and development about the discipline, the content, but it's just instruction.

What you say is improvising it's not a contradiction with knowing things. Of course, it's

                   not.

When you can start to improvise in cuisine, you repeat, repeat, repeat the menu and
sometimes happens that you change something and you discover that the dish become

yours. It's something that happened in your life. So improvisation is for more existence in
the world and when you improvise you perceive your existence in the world as identity, as
