                   part of the community in which a particular dish and the practice to create this new dish

                   has a meaning. The idea is important, so a culture of improvisation for me is really linked to
                   a new culture of philosophy, because philosophy is a way to use a meaning, use a concept,
                   that are already embodied in our culture, in a new way. Is a way to re-conceptualize our

                   language  and  I  think that  improvisation  and  jazz  is  a  good  metaphor  to  rethink  about

                   philosophy as way of being in the world in a new way.

                   I  think  you  have  nicely  linked  all  these  things  together.  I  can  see  the  concept  of
                   improvisation linked with the P4C, because it's a kind of opening a space for children to

                   think without restrictions. Maybe a last comment, if there not any recipes because it's
                   improvising …. How do you help teachers improvise? How do all things find their way?

                   How does this happen?

                   … I never think about that, because for me what is important is not to try to help someone
                   to improvise. Is create an improvisational environment. So I was more attracted by people

                   that really tried to create settings in which this kind of activity is well implemented and

                   supported ... to create safe creativity environments … So I think that what is important is
                   not to help someone to improvise but to improvise with them ... In the way that you feel

                   trustable… I mean you have to trust your disposition to improvise and that is the new
                   feeling that you create and that's happen also with the P4C – «how can I help children to

                   philosophize?» No, I am not helping children to philosophize… I am just trying to create a
                   community in which we can philosophize together and we have to be trustable with them

                   ... they have to perceive that you are asking questions with them truly, in an authentic
                   way. It is not a format. And is not a kind of helping… «I want to think with you»!: this is the

                   more difficult for a trainer … the risk to have format, to repeat format is really close to the
                   trainer … But you have not to be a trainer of improvisation, you have to be involved into

                   improvising  activity  and  you  have  to  transform  each  activity  into  an  opportunity  to
                   improvise, when the moment is the right moment.


                   It is as if the situation emerges, you know it without even thinking of that.
